Active Communities is a Sport Northern Ireland lottery funded initiative that aims to increase participation in sport and physical recreation in Northern Ireland. Active communities aims to create opportunities for 100,000 people to get involved and stay involved in sport and physical recreation.
Active Communities target groups are:
- Young People
- Older Peole
- Women & Girls
- People with a Disability
There are currently 10 coaches within the Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Consortium Areas in the following sports:
- Volleyball
- Racquet Sports
- Outdoor Pursuits
- Girls Soccer
- Gaelic Games
- Disability
- Multi Skills
- Dance x 3
